A fifth generation Texan and lifelong resident of Wharton County, Eric grew up in Crescent where he assisted his father in the operation of the family farming and ranching business. After completing his formal education at the University of Houston, Eric began his real estate career in Houston before starting his own company, C.E. Muegge Real Estate, in 1975.

Since that time, Eric and his company have sold in excess of 100,000 acres of land for a total sales price of more than $110,000,000. This volume of sales marks his real estate company as a leader in farm and ranch sales in the Gulf Coast area of Texas.

The real estate team at C.E. Muegge Real Estate represents a combined total of 130 years experience in managing, developing and operating farms and ranches. This experience provides a sales force with a wealth of practical knowledge with which to advise clients on their buying and selling decisions. Our experience allows us to point out the opportunities and potential of your land investment.

Additionally, under Eric’s direction, his firm has become a leader in the development of small acreage home sites and ranchettes, having subdivided more than thirty parcels of land, both large (1,000 acres) and small (15 acres).

C.E. Muegge Real Estate is also competitive in the residential market. Residential sales have been confined predominately to the Wharton area, unlike the farm and ranch sales, which cover a five county area surrounding Wharton.

Eric and his wife, Cheri, an elementary school teacher, live in their country home near Wharton.
